“Eyes and Eggs”, by Jean-Michel Basquiat. I saw this painting at the Brooklyn Museum in 2005. The smudges near the frying pan are JMB’s actual sneaker prints. As was sometimes his practice, he laid the canvas on the floor and painted down onto it.
