(via upnorthtrip) The Box - Music Television You Control… I think this was channel 66 in NYC. The Box was dope, it was a music video jukebox channel on TV. For the price of a long distance phone call, you could queue up your favorite video. This was a great way to see underground hip hop videos which didn’t make it into MTV or BET pop rotation. At some point, record label A&R’s and associates started flooding the Box with requests for the videos of artists they were representing…That’s when the Box lost its groove.
